Light Breathable Membrane
Breathable Roof Felt Membrane
1m wide, 50m long
Lightweight, breathable and tough!
Triple layered high performance membrane for use in fully supported or unsupported tiled, slated and metal roof systems.
Waterproof, high vapour permeability combined with excellent tensile/tear strength makes Vent3® Light an ideal product for use in both warm and cold roof applications. Vent3® Light allows escape of water vapour from within roof whilst protecting against wind, driven rain, snow and dust.

Envirolay HR Underlay from Envirolite
(1.3m wide x 25m long)
The premier roofers underlay!
Strong, high performance fire resistant roof underlay, for use on all cold or warm roof types, in all 5 UK wind pressure zones.
Envirolay Premier has been fully tested and exceeds the requirements of BS 5534 so you can rest assured you are using an underlay that is fit for purpose.
Features of Envirolay & Envirotile
Fire resistant material
Can be used in all UK zonal areas 1-5
Suitable for all cold or warm roof structures
Use with Envirotile on cold roof for BS476-3 compliance
Fully tested to BS5534 Annex A
Fully Exova Tested with Envirotile to DD CEN/TS 1187 test4 - Brooft4
Please note that on a cold roof type with the Envirotile roof system, to conform to Fire Standard BS 476-3, only Envirolay is approved for full use. On warm roof applications, other underlay can be used with Envirotile.
Part of the Envirotile Synthetic Slate system
Envirotile tiles interlock with adjacent and under tiles to form a more secure integrated roof covering, and uses a reduced lap that can require just 12 tiles per square metre; so reduces weight, material cost and work. Reduced weight means cheaper transportation, reduced CO² transport emissions and less structural roof requirement. Being easy to work with and approximately 50% the weight of other synthetic tiles, makes Envirotile the perfect choice for creating an authentic looking conservatory roof conversion.
Designed and manufactured in the UK, Envirotile synthetic slate is easier to work with than traditional slate and is a complete dry fix system that requires no cement. Part of a complete solution that includes ridge, verge and eaves products.
Did you know? The Envirotile is also available as a Half Tile and Double Tile. Half Tiles can be used to initiate a weatherproof broken bond, finishing the verge, and for detailing around abutments or flashings. Double Tile can be used as a discreet filler tile for long sections, and are recommended on the ends of each course; this is especially important on hipped faces to ensure that first and last tiles have adequate fixing points.

Fitting Envirolay and the Envirotile 8Fix Synthetic Plastic Roofing
Envirolay should be fitted with at least 100mm lap over felt support tray, and at least 150mm lap over each course. Envirolay tape (GSPDST) can be used to seal overlap for added protection against uplift during heavy winds. Starting on the right, roll out and fix to centre of rafters with clout nails. Ensure 10-15mm sag between rafters to allow any moisture build up to run down. Envirolay should be finished 25mm short of the ridge apex, and 150mm up wall face of any abutment.
Envirotiles which are extremely simple to fix, with slide locks for quick alignment and security, should be laid using the 3-step layout procedure. Envirotiles can be cut equally well with hand saw or power saw, without releasing harmful dust during cutting. Half tiles, double tiles and unique eaves bar reduces material cost and work, with no need for an eaves course. The manufacturer has produced a detailed fitting guide to cover residential and commercial property, and we will be creating a dedicated Conservatory Roof Conversion Tiling Guide to support it.

2-in-1 Vented Eaves Protector
Roof felt support and eaves ventilation!
Felt support tray with integrated 10mm over fascia eaves vent for continuous eaves ventilation. So, there is no need for extra eaves ventilation.
This cost effective combination of tray and integrated vent prevents sagging of overlapping sarking felt and encourages natural airflow in the roof space. Prevents ponding of water and condensation, results in the breakdown of roof membrane, fascia and timber rafters.

Installing the Ventilated Eaves Protector
Using the 2-in-1 Vented Eaves Protector, there is no need for additional vents. The interlocking trays are nailed directly to the top of the fascia board with the short edge hanging over the gutter. The tray features stop beads that make positioning the tray a sinch and nail collars to simplify fixing.
25mm Over Fascia Eaves Vent
Increases airflow and reduces moisture in roof space
Durable and discrete interlocking 25mm eaves vents provide continuous eaves ventilation to encourage airflow throughout the roof system. Allows the roof to 'breathe' and discourages birds and large insects.
Each lightweight polypropylene vent features stop beads that simplify the fitting to top edge of fascia board and integral nail holes for consistent and secure fixings.
Features & Benefits

Low profile design
Extremely strong and lightweight
4mm integral grill
Fixing location holes
25mm ventilation capacity (10mm capacity also available)
Prevents birds and large insects accessing the roof
Why it's important to ventilate the roof
Inadequate ventilation in the roof space encourages moisture, which can damage roof timbers. All new-build properties must have continuous ventilation at eaves level to avoid damp and condensation within the roof void and to comply with Building Regulations.
Ventilation capacity
This 25mm capacity eaves vent is recommended for warm roofs, flat roofs and roof with pitch less than 14° and provides the equivalent of a continuous 25mm opening. The 10mm capacity vent provides the equivalent of a continuous 10mm opening and should be chosen for conventional cold roofs.
